During the construction of a new commercial building on one of the main thoroughfares in the Liège region, the architects had the excellent idea of integrating a giant LED screen into the window display from the outset. The HTVLED sales team was asked to submit a quotation, in competition with several local companies. Thanks to the ingenuity and know-how of its teams, HTVLED won this ambitious project. The end result is an 18m² P4.8mm LED screen offering exceptional visual rendering and impressive image quality.
Project constraints
The main challenge of the project was to meet the tight deadlines imposed by the customer, with the aim of installing the LED screen one month before the official opening of the store. From a technical point of view, the screen had to offer high resolution and be silent so as not to disturb visitors. The space allocated for the screen installation measured around 6100mm x 3200mm, and the screen had to be mounted high up in the window.
The HTVLED solution
The choice of hardware was the first crucial step. HTVLED's technical team opted for a 4.8mm pitch, guaranteeing excellent image quality, with a brightness of 4500 nits for optimal display, even in broad daylight. The 500x500mm housings are made of polymer (hard plastic) to reduce the overall weight of the installation. To avoid noise pollution, the fans have been replaced by passive radiators for silent heat dissipation.
A preliminary visit to the site under construction was carried out by the technical team, in collaboration with the contractors, in order to anticipate all the logistical and technical requirements necessary for a successful installation. This made it possible to prepare for the arrival of the electrical connections as well as the RJ45 cable for remote management of the screen via the Internet.
To facilitate installation at height, HTVLED designed a suspension bar system, offering a clean and efficient solution. The use of special gondolas and floor protection ensured safe installation. In addition, the screen was set 30 cm away from the glass to prevent overheating due to sunlight reflection. To ensure a neat appearance, the rear of the screen was covered with a custom-printed tarpaulin, blending in perfectly with the surrounding environment.
Content management and final output
Prior to installation, our graphics department worked closely with the customer to create customized content, perfectly adapted to the LED screen. The player was pre-configured with the images and videos to be displayed. During installation, all that was needed was to connect the player and the screen would immediately broadcast the promotional content, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
The end result is spectacular: an 18m² LED screen of exceptional quality, which immediately captures the attention of passers-by and customers. The screen's visibility and impact on the target audience are impressive, adding real value to the business.
This project marks another success for HTVLED, with a satisfied customer and a team proud of the work accomplished. This installation of a giant LED screen in a shop window once again demonstrates HTVLED's ability to offer tailor-made solutions, respecting its customers' deadlines, technical constraints and aesthetic expectations.
