How to calculate the price of an LED Screen?

After meeting with our commercial team in Luxembourg or at your company, you will receive your price quote. Generally, it consists of three parts: the first includes the LED screen (display device), the second involves the content management system, and the third details the installation, structure, and delivery terms. 1. LED Screen Budgeting:

An LED screen consists of panels (sometimes called cabinets or modules), and the assembly of these panels forms the screen where content (images, videos, etc.) will be displayed. The cost of the LED screen is calculated based on its total surface area.

For example, an LED screen of 3000mm x 2000mm may consist of 24 panels of 500mm x 500mm (6x4 panels). The total surface area of the screen is then 6m2, and the corresponding budget item will be presented as a price "xxx€/m2" multiplied by 6m2.

How is the price per square meter of LED screens defined? Each screen is customized according to project needs. Electronic components, therefore, differ for each project. An outdoor screen has different characteristics than an indoor one. Components such as LED type, pitch, IC drivers, materials (steel, aluminum), connectors, etc., will determine the price per square meter.

2. Content Management System:

An LED screen comprises electronic cards that manage image display. Generally, only one sending card is required, while each panel will have a receiving card. A screen composed of 24 panels will have 24 receiving cards and one sending card. The cost is calculated per piece.

Often, the cost of receiving cards is included in the price/m2 of the screen.

To control screen settings such as brightness, operating hours, or to broadcast content like photos or videos, a computer is necessary. This computer, commonly called the "player," is industrial-type and specially designed for this application. One management computer is allocated per LED screen. Its cost is standardized and offered per unit.

The Content Management Software (CMS) is the software that broadcasts content on the screen. It is pre-installed on the "player" and is managed remotely via a web interface (easyCMS). The cost of the CMS is either recurring (monthly) or licensed. HTVLed has chosen not to impose a recurring cost, and the license is therefore included in the player's price.

A video processor is used for LED screens intended to broadcast live events, such as sports game broadcasts. It is an optional requirement for some projects. The price of a video processor will vary based on its technical parameters and the number of available outputs and inputs (HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc.).

3. Installation, Structure, and Configuration:

The screen's mounting structure is calculated based on its dimensions and various parameters related to its environment or use. Prices will vary depending on the screen's position, whether it's mounted high, against a wall, suspended, or on a pole. Special structures placed in public places (along roads, parking lots, etc.) must undergo a study and be certified by an independent organization such as Vinçotte (Belgium).

Delivery times can be shortened by selecting an "express" option that offers fast air transport from our manufacturing factory. The cost is calculated based on weight and volume, fluctuating depending on the time of year and industry transport prices.

Installation is carried out by qualified technicians. The number of assigned technicians varies depending on the project's complexity. The cost is calculated hourly or daily and based on the number of technicians. Generally, one day of installation and two technicians are sufficient for the installation and configuration of an LED screen.
